Edward S. Freeman, 68, of Jewett City, Connecticut, passed away on September 16, 2015. Ed died of complications in his battle with cancer.
Ed had many accomplishments in his life. He graduated from Lyman Memorial High School in Lebanon, Connecticut, and Thames Valley Technical Institute of Norwich, Connecticut. Edward served in the Marines with honor in the Vietnam conflict. After two tours as a jet mechanic on the flight line, Ed pursued a career in technical drafting and blueprinting and worked at Electric Boat in Groton, Connecticut.
Ed is survived by his wife, Ellen; daughter, Lisa; and his brother, Albert (Duke) Freeman of Warren, Vermont; his sister, Annett; and niece, Brenda Freeman Cruz; a few cousins and good friends. His parents, Emerson and Anne Freeman of Waitsfield, predeceased him.
Ed had a great disposition and was well loved by his family and friends. He brought a smile to the faces of all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by all.
