Beverly Ann Loomis of Traverse City, Michigan, died November 20, 2014, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Pontiac, Michigan, on November 20, 1937, the daughter of Joseph and Pearl Trollman.

She graduated from St. Michael's High School in Flint, Michigan, in 1955 and then attended Baker Business College, graduating in 1956.

In 1957, she married James Russell Loomis of Fenton, Michigan, and they subsequently moved to Traverse City with their family in 1966. She and her husband worked together in their tax and accounting business in Traverse City, Michigan, until their retirement in 2005.

She was a member of the Old Mission Peninsula United Methodist Church, a congregation in which she found great community and comfort. When not in Michigan during the winter months, she and her husband were members of the United Methodist Church of Pensacola, FL.

She was a member of the Maple Grove Junior Friendship Club and the Birch Girls Association. She took great joy in her gardens and her flowers, and her children and in particular her grandchildren, Cory Alexander Holman, Lilah Devi Navale and Sana Jade Navale.

She was predeceased by her sister, Barbara Trollman, and her parents. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, James Russell Loomis of Traverse City, Michigan; her daughter Laurie Holman and her husband Tim Holman and their son Cory Holman of Traverse City, Michigan; her daughter Lisa Loomis and her partner Chris DelBrocco and his children Alessandra, Olivia and Andrew DelBrocco of Waitsfield, Vermont; her son James Raymond Loomis and his partner Rodney Jones of Boynton Beach, Florida; and her daughter Lynn Navale and her husband Sunil Navale and their children Lilah Devi and Sana Jade Navale of Simi Valley, California. She is survived by her brother Joseph Trollman and his wife Judy of Fenton, Michigan, as well as her best friend Joann Speer of Rapid City, Michigan, and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Her memorial took place at the Old Mission Peninsula United Methodist Church at 16426 Center Road on Monday, November 24, with a visitation at 10 a.m. and service at 11 a.m. Fellowship in the church community room followed the service. Committal services will take place in the spring at the Peninsula Township Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers should be sent to The Father Fred Foundation Food Pantry at P.O.
