In journalism, the first rule of investigating a story is to "follow the money." I propose we add "follow the money, follow the motive."

Today, we see last minute accusations of a Supreme Court nomination, Brett Kavanaugh, and most fair-minded Americans question the validity of the charges.

Disturbingly in the last minute after the hearing, accusations from 35 years ago surfaced. This is compounded by the fact Senator Diane Feinstein (D-NY), had this information and withheld it until the last minute, why? It is also compounded by the fact it is vague and without proof. It is further compounded by the fact Dr. Christine Blasey-Ford and her lawyers are anti-Trump activists. Should we question the motives?

The #MeToo movement not only gave women protection and a voice against violence and intimidation but it also opened the floodgates for those wishing to use flimsy accusations to destroy a man, his reputation and his ability to find employment. They are guilty because of the accusation, period. The charge is all that is needed. I call this castration of the American male is pretty disappointing that women are abusing this power with the same unfairness as some men they accuse.

The Bill of Rights, in Amendment 6, guarantees the Rights of the Accused Persons in a criminal case. We are innocent with the burden of proof on the accuser, until we are proven in a court of law to be guilty. Did the senators, trained in the law, and lawyers such as Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, (D-NY), Senator Chuck Schumer, (D-NY) and the rest of the Democratic mob even suggest that Judge Kavanaugh be given due process? No. How sad for our country, how unvirtuous. The Democrats act more like Stalinist than fair Americans. What is going on?

Recent secret documents have surfaced from a 2004 meeting with Senator Dick Durbin, (D-IL), Senator Chuck Schumer, (D-NY), then Senator Joe Biden, (D-DE), Senator Patrick Leahy, (D-VT), Senator Ted Kennedy, (D-MA), Senator Diane Feinstein, (D-NY) and Senator Harry Reid, (D-NV) all in agreement to block any conservative nominations by any means necessary regardless of the soundness of the candidate. Say anything, charge anything, true or not. Stop any conservative nomination by any means possible. This stunned me.

I don't know if there are fair-minded people who are disturbed by this, but to speak for fairness is the least I can do for my country.
