Trooper Amber Haag reports: On January 14, 2014, at 1:22 a.m. a burglary occurred at LBJ's Grocery in Worcester. On January 24, 2014, a burglary was reported at Mac's Market in Warren. Vermont State Police in Middlesex began investigating the two burglaries where several thousand dollars' worth of cigarettes and other items were stolen.
After a lengthy investigation, with the help of Barre City Police Department, a search warrant was executed on the residence of Tyler Farnsworth, age 20, of Barre, and Addie Stephens, age 19, of Barre. Evidence of the crimes was located in the residence and both Farnsworth and Stephens were subsequently taken into custody and transported to Barre City Police Department where they were interviewed. Both Stephens and Farnsworth were transported to the Middlesex State Police Barracks for processing and then lodged at Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility. Farnsworth and Stephens were scheduled to appear at Vermont Superior Court Washington Criminal Division on February 4, 2014, at 12:30 hours.
