Since last spring, Mt. Mansfield Media has been filming and interviewing throughout the Mad River Valley. Next week, Mad River Valley residents are invited to the Big Picture Theater for the free premiere of the 20-minute documentary Almost There. Showtimes are Monday, November 18, and Thursday, November 21, at 7 p.m.
Mt. Mansfield Media was hired by the Mad River Valley Chamber of Commerce to create a marketing piece that showcases all The Valley has to offer in the non-winter months. Videographer Jake Cunevalis has captured events, landscapes and the spirit of the local community.
The purpose of this piece is to highlight the reasons people "Come for the mountains. Stay for The Valley," one of the chamber's marketing slogans. The documentary will also be available for viewing at madrivervalley.com. From this documentary will come two 30-second commercials that will run on Waitsfield Cable and Stowe Cable.
