Waitsfield’s town office task force has identified three sites in Waitsfield Village and three in Irasville as potential sites for new town offices.
The task force will discuss the six sites with the public at a forum on Monday, April 30, at 7 p.m. at the Waitsfield Elementary School. Public input into the where and why, the pros and cons, the costs and preferences are needed.
The three sites in Waitsfield Village include the Flemer barns, as an addition to the Wait House or on the same site as the fire station. The Irasville site includes the land between Shaw’s and the Mad River Green Road, sharing parking with Shaw’s, land along the Slow Road between Shaw’s and the Skatium, or the field to the north of TD Bank where the Lion’s blue-lit Christmas tree is found.
At the public forum task force members will present information, discuss options, and hear citizens’ thoughts, ideas, concerns and other considerations. Refreshments will be provided.
