Valley voters head to Town Meeting

Valley residents will head to the polls on Town Meeting Day next Tuesday, March 6, to elect town officials, approve municipal and school budgets and vote in the Vermont presidential primary.

#Moretown

Moretown voters will convene for the annual informational meeting at the Moretown Elementary School on March 5 at 7 p.m. to discuss articles and hear from candidates. Town Meeting begins at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, March 6, at the elementary school; voters will vote on 31 articles and elect officials by Australian ballot.

The annual school district meeting will take place following lunch. This year’s town report is dedicated to the volunteers who offered assistance during the August flood.

Town Meeting lunch will be served by the Moretown Elementary School PTN immediately following Town Meeting in the school cafeteria. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

#Warren

Town Meeting in Warren will be called to order at 8 a.m. at the Warren School on Tuesday and immediately adjourn until after the completion of the Warren School District meeting, at which time Town Meeting will reconvene. Free child care will be available.

Legal voters in Warren will discuss and vote on 15 articles from the floor as well as elect officials by Australian ballot between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. A potluck lunch will follow Town Meeting in the school cafeteria. This year’s town report is dedicated to Dr. Andreas Lehner for his many years of service as principal of the Warren School.

#Fayston

Registered voters in the town of Fayston will meet at the Fayston Elementary School on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. to vote on 22 articles and elect town officials from the floor. A break in the proceeds will be made at approximately noon for a shared potluck lunch in the cafeteria. The annual school district meeting will follow lunch.

This year’s town report is dedicated to the memory of Fayston citizen and neighbor Hanne Williams.

#Waitsfield

Town Meeting in Waitsfield begins at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, March 6, at the Waitsfield Elementary School. Residents will vote on 16 articles as well as elect town officials by Australian ballot between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Once again this year the potluck lunch will be served at the Waitsfield United Church of Christ at approximately noon and reconvene for the school district meeting at 1 p.m. This year’s town report is dedicated to the citizens, neighbors and friends who volunteered following the August flood.
