Dylan Valentine is the new postmaster for the Waitsfield Post Office. A native of Maine who lives in Montpelier, Valentine began his new duties earlier this month.
“I am truly proud to take on the role of postmaster for Waitsfield,” Valentine said via email. “Even though I’m new to the area, the warmth and friendliness I’ve experienced from this close-knit community have made me feel right at home.”
Valentine’s appointment comes as the U.S. Postal Service, gears up to celebrate a significant milestone – 250 years of “Delivering for America.” This year marks a moment for reflection and progress, and Valentine is eager to be part of this journey, particularly as the USPS embraces changes aimed at better serving its customers.
Valentine is excited about meeting the evolving needs of the community.
“We are looking at optimizing our network and services, from expanding the USPS Ground Advantage for more affordable shipping options to introducing new services like Next-Day Priority,” he shared. “Our goal is to make shipping faster and more convenient for everyone in Waitsfield.”
Valentine’s vision for the post office is clear: he aims to ensure it remains a cornerstone of the community. “I am deeply committed to serving Waitsfield and fostering strong connections within the town,” he said. “We want to support local businesses and deliver the service excellence you’ve come to expect.”
