The application (#10-27) requests that the DRB approve a change in use from a soda pop company to a peanut butter company located at 80 Commercial Drive in Moretown.
According to company owner Chris Kaiser, Vermont Peanut Butter Co. has expanded its operation to the Waterbury location due to a need for increased warehousing space. The corporate end will remain in Stowe, where the company originated.
"We look forward to doing more business in Waterbury and also building on the community support there as well. Waterbury and Stowe are fabulous communities and the businesses and residents alike are some of the best around," Kaiser said.
Currently Vermont Peanut Butter Co. is a member of the Waterbury Farmers' Market and is looking to do more with the community including sporting events and fundraisers.
The application requires the approval of the DRB per the Moretown zoning regulations; the hearing is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. and is open to the public.
