Robbery at TD Bank in Waitsfield, Vermont

Waitsfield, VT – 9/24/2011 – Today, September 24, at approximately 7:45AM, the clerk at TD Bank in Waitsfield unlocked the front doors for customers. A few minutes later, an unknown male or female suspect, entered the bank and went to one of the tellers, handing the teller a note indicating the suspect had a gun and to hand over all of the money. The suspect took undisclosed amount of money. The suspect placed the money into a black, hard leather case with a shoulder strap. A firearm was not displayed and the only communication was through the note.
The suspect is described as either male or female, with a pale complexion, approximately 5’7” – 5’9”, 100 – 120 pounds with a thin build. The suspect was last seen wearing aviator sunglasses, black fleece neck warmer pulled up over the face, blue hooded zippered sweatshirt, blue or black turtleneck, black leggings, a dark colored above the knee length skirt, white latex gloves, and sneakers, which are possibly white.
The suspect left the bank heading north on VT Route 100 on foot, and was last seen running in the area of the Irasville Business Park. The suspect may have entered the area of the Mad River Green Shopping Center by Shaws Supermarket.
The Federal Bureau of Investigations has been contacted regarding this case.
