My wife and I lived in Waterbury for five years, started a family and moved back to Waitsfield to build a home in the Riverview development where we still are located. We raised four kids who attended Waitsfield School and graduated from Harwood Union High School.
I have a building and remodeling company, Rivers Building & Consulting Inc., for the previous 30 years building custom homes and renovations. Our clients have been in The Valley and surrounding towns. We are an honest and hardworking company and I expect to bring these ethics to the board.
My community service has been limited to coaching and president of youth sports, which included Little League for 15 years. I was also youth and high school coach at Harwood for 16 years. I was involved with the Couples Club for a number of years.
I have been interested in getting involved in town government over the last few years and decided it was time to venture out. I am not running on any fixed agenda. I'm interested in property rights and expansion of growth and jobs in the town and area. I believe we as a town are at several crossroads and I would like to be involved in representing the townspeople of Waitsfield.
