Valley Arts welcomes the Vermont Watercolor Society to the Mad River Valley, hosting their annual awards show. This is the first time the statewide society has held an exhibition at the Festival Gallery in Waitsfield. “Aqua” showcases 30 watercolor paintings chosen from a pool of submitted entries, all by artists belonging to the society. Ron Bigony of the National Watercolor Society selected the paintings for exhibition and nationally recognized artist Susan Abbott serves as the judge of special awards.
A meet the artists reception is planned for Saturday, June 3, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Festival Gallery. Award winners will be announced at that time. The reception is free and open to the public.
The Festival Gallery is located at Village Square Shopping Center, Route 100, Waitsfield. Gallery hours are Wednesday through Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m., from June 7 to July 22.
