Sugarbush is holding a silent auction of 10 Valley House chairs as a fundraiser for the Mad River Valley Community Fund.
The resort removed the ski lift this week in preparation for replacing it this spring and summer. Bids for the 10 chairs must be received by midnight on Friday, April 17, and must be submitted to Sugarbush president Win Smith via email at
The 10 highest bids will win the 10 chairs. In the case of a tie, the bidders will be notified and will have one chance to resubmit their bid within 24 hours. If a tie remains, the first to resubmit the bid will be awarded the chair. All proceeds will go directly to the Mad River Valley Community Fund. Checks should be made out to them and delivered to Sugarbush at the time of chair pickup.
Chairs will be available for pickup at the Lincoln Peak base area on the following dates: Friday, April 24, Saturday, April 25, Friday, May 1, and Saturday, May 2.
In addition to the 10 that are being auctioned for charity, 65 chairs were sold outright.
