To The Editor:

The contortionists twist, the clowns tumble, the high-wire walkers teeter above pits of writhing alligators! Oh the spectacle. The bright costumes of the giddily giggling performers flash before your eyes! Excitement is in the air and the spotlight comes up, revealing your child, painted grin widening with pride, hand in hand with their friends. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, your child has joined the circus!

Your little performer gathers around for goofy warm-ups at 9 in the morning, usually followed by juggling stations, time spent knee-deep in art equipment creating props for the final performance, and lessons in the mysterious ways of the clown. There are both lunch and snack breaks, where we traipse outside to get a breath of fresh air before plunging back into tumbling and other wondrous, fun-filled activities. By the time 3 p.m. rolls around, everyone is tuckered out and ready for a nap, but also sad to go. The second week is spent with a lot of time preparing for the parting of the curtain on our final Friday, the show certain to be action-packed, giggle-inducing and smile-worthy. We guarantee nobody walks away with a frown!

Two weeks of whimsy, giggles and new juggling tricks awaits you this year at Circus Minimus' summer camp.
