To The Editor:
Joan Wilson of Waitsfield Wine Shoppe, John Gallagher of Another Man's Treasure and Nancy and Jess Mobley of Warren have sponsored the relighting of the Memory Tree on Main Street, Waitsfield, next to TD Bank.
The tree has been off since the local Lions Club disbanded years ago. The two couples have purchased lights and had the power turned on so the tree could be resurrected.
At this time, the lower and upper sections are lit and the middle is dark. The thought is that (as before) people will sponsor a bulb for $5 each and when 70 bulbs are sponsored a new row of lights will be added until the complete tree is lit. All donations are to be made out to Camp Ta-Kum-Ta in Waterbury. Donations can be dropped off at Waitsfield Wine Shoppe.
