Amurt/el began relief efforts immediately after Typhoon Haiyan caused massive devastation across numerous islands in the Philippines. With more than 10,000 feared dead and hundreds of thousands now homeless, the recovery work is daunting. And as another tropical storm takes aim at the same area, relief teams are scrambling to secure food, water and shelter for the thousands stranded amid the ruins of their homes.
Our teams are made up of volunteers and we work on a grassroots level, providing aid to those most in need.
