To The Editor:

Does anyone notice that either party is not bending on the budget in Washington? Nobody is listening to either side. Nobody is looking for the other choice, the one that the people can get behind.

Does anyone notice that nobody is bending on the town hall in Waitsfield? Again, nobody is truly listening, trying to find common ground. Clearly evident on my last task force involvement.

Washington works by giving out favors and money. Our system is broken, but it doesn't mean we have to be part of it.

If you are wondering why Washington is so messed up, we have to change what is going on locally and work our way up. We should easily be able to build a town hall for half a million dollars; we don't need the government money. We don't need to be like Washington.... We don't need to work on budgets until midnight, I mean seriously.

Let's be like our forefathers, frugal, working together, with common sense and respect for our neighbors.
