The owners and management at Eagles Resort are asking for your support to vote yes on the extension of the municipal water project on July 30, 2013. The water commission, town select board and Phelps's Engineering have been outstanding with assisting the resort.
The Eagles is a four-season time-shared vacation resort which includes 16 homes along with a clubhouse/office building. These homes were brought over from Sweden over 30 years ago and accommodate up to eight people per week per house.
Many businesses in town know the Eagles from people dining, purchasing and visiting your facility while here on vacation. On vacation, our visitors buy food, arts and entertainment, enjoy nature, sports -- the list goes on and on. Many of our owners have purchased second homes here in this beautiful valley.
I believe the Eagles Resort connecting to the town water supply to be a win-win. The resort will have water and the town will have 17 more users on the system to reduce the costs for all, while covering the expenses associated with extending the project to the Eagles.
