To The Editor:
Very exciting to see the progress being made on the major road rebuilding, including bike lanes, bridges and sidewalks. All crews seem to be really keeping delays down to a minimum and are keeping the work areas well organized.
These rebuilds will reflect on the quality of life and economy of The Valley for 50 to 100 years and cost has to be looked at with a very long-term perspective.
This is especially one of the major considerations why the voters approved removing power poles on Bridge Street making the small compact area look more open, less congested and more appealing to residents and visitors.
The need for the extension of the water system is something that should be supported and seems like the type of growth that follows successful projects.
The future relocation of the Waitsfield town office needs much more study and citizen input (hard to understand why the grant for a project that is so long term seems to include such a short window. This does not seem logical to me and is unacceptable).
I support voting in favor of the water bond and voting down the town office bond!
