To The Editor:
Charlie Hosford serves Waitsfield well and with dedication. He shows his commitment by taking on the oversight of capital projects, serving on committees and volunteering for extra duties.
Charlie is a productive, knowledgeable select board member. He understands the challenge of balancing fiscal constraints with the needs of town's operations and infrastructure. He supports the preservation and enhancement of our historic village, he looks for land conservation opportunities and he promotes municipal investment in sustainable energy strategies.
Charlie is uniquely committed to hands-on citizen volunteerism. He worked for six months repairing the Irene damage on Bridge Street. He helped plant the orchard on the Flemer recreation field. He continues to provide maintenance to the trees on our scenic streets and roads.
We need competent, forward-looking leadership from people of good character who are willing to work hard to serve the residents of Waitsfield and the Mad River Valley community. Please join me in voting to re-elect Charlie Hosford.
