Over the years, I have asked the road crew for some kind of relief. This year they finally found a solution. They put some type of black material on the road that solidifies the dirt. I must say, I panic a little every time they re-grade, but there is still no dust.

As far as the "cold in place recycling train method" is concerned, I think it's an engineering marvel. They resurfaced approximately 1.2 miles of two-lane road in two working days without having to shut the road down. Can you imagine how long and how much dirt and dust conventional methods would cause. Time will tell if it's as good as it looks. If this process is used in the future, perhaps washed gravel could be used for the topping. That is if the townspeople decide that the added cost is worth eliminating a few days of dust.

Good job, well done, Warren road crew.
