MRVIC provides not only emergency assistance to those in crisis but
also organizes and distributes Thanksgiving baskets annually to over 70
families. During the winter holiday season, vouchers, known as "Joys of
the Season" are distributed to children of families in need in The
Valley, providing the children with the opportunity to participate in
the giving and receiving of
gifts. The Valley Food Shelf is also supported by the MRVIC.
As a result of the current economic situation, needs have increased for
many families living and working in The Valley and our funds are being
depleted at a greater rate than prior years. We wish to bring this
situation to the attention of residents and friends of The Valley who
may be interested in and able to contribute funds for these programs.

The Valley community cares for one another in ways that are unusual in
