After looking at a picture of the quaint town of Waitsfield, we were
sure we made the right choice. Boy, did we ever! Our wedding was tiny.
Just us, our parents, and my brother and sister-in-law. Thanks to the
amazing help of Susan, she got me in touch with the best photographer I
have ever met in my life, no joke, John Williams. We found our justice
of the peace, Jennifer Peterson, one of the friendliest people I have
ever met.
Susan recommended a B&B, The Wilder Inn Farm. Wow! Truly the most
comfortable and eye-pleasing place I've stayed at. Luke and Linda were
so nice and accommodating! Not to mention they served amazing pancakes
for breakfast! Then we found Mad River Valley Appearances. They did such
a great job!
So, we were set for the wedding! We had never been to Waitsfield before,
but thanks to John, he actually showed up at the salon (before our
hair-dos) and brought me to some locations he thought we might like!!
Have you ever heard of a photographer who would do that for you? We were
so impressed.
So, basically, our day started at the salon. Ruth did a lovely job
prettying us up. We then checked in to the Wilder Farm Inn. We were
running late, so John Williams came to us!
He took some lovely photos around the beautiful grounds. Once again,
John helped us out and contacted the people from the von Trapp
Greenhouse and we were able to use the lovely landscape with flowers for
pictures. We then met up with Jennifer at the top of Bragg Hill! This
is where we married! What a site! So beautiful! We were married, took
pictures and just enjoyed the location.
We all went to The Common Man for dinner. Delicious. The staff was very
friendly. I really, really loved the wood detail, the high ceilings,
fireplace. It was just a dream wedding. It's funny because, initially,
we hadn't really planned for such a beautiful event. It just came to us!
And that is kind of how MRV is. They so humbly do so much for you and
go out of their way to make sure you're happy.
I know I sound completely over-the-top happy...but I am that happy.
Waitsfield and all the wonderful people I met will always have a huge
place in my heart!
