This is a mistake and the source is the election of the board in the
first place by Australian ballot. This has eliminated all discussion
related to the election and identification of the select board.
Traditional Town Meetings are where nominations from the floor are the
best way for the voters to see and hear from the candidates, and are
the only time Warren voters gather together to hear and act on town
business.
The pre-Town Meeting forums and the discussions and interviews in
<MI>The Valley Reporter<D> don't actually cut it in my
opinion. I want to hear directly from the candidate in front of the
voters at the time of the vote. This is the purest form of democracy
and we need it back.
