If the town is in such a yank about pedestrian connectivity, where are
the sidewalks or pedestrian paths along the Access Road for the Maples
Condominiums or the Colony subdivision? Both of these non-Sugarbush
projects were permitted and constructed during the same timeframe as
Clay Brook. Where is the mini section of sidewalk on the new
environmentally friendly Rice Brook box culvert the town had installed
two years ago on the Access Road? Why is Sugarbush required to build
these pedestrian connections while others are not?
Sugarbush is a valued economic contributor to The Valley and we should
be thanking them for all they have done, for the jobs they provide and
the visitors they bring into The Valley -- not holding out our hands
and asking for more.
The town of Warren needs to apply their land use regulations and Town
Plan goals to all applicants evenly. And while they are at it, why
don't they dust off the Warren Village sidewalk plan that's been
shelved for the past five years, and make Warren Village a safer place
for our kids and folks who live and frequent Warren Village a safe
place to walk.
