At Town Meeting, Hancock voted to dissolve the Village School and close their campus and tuition their kids. Because of the Hancock vote, Granville was unable to vote on their school budget. It still is not clear what Hancock plans on doing, but the Granville school board and residents are looking into sending their kids to other schools besides Rochester thus giving the parents "School Choice." Granville held an informational meeting Wednesday, March 18, to help answer residents’ questions regarding tuitioning out the Granville children to other area towns. There will be a special school budget vote on April 6.
