What is even stranger (maybe even suspicious) is that all 20 of those votes were NO votes that swung the decision from approved to disapproved. I will be even more suspicious of this whole matter if it is brought up for another vote.
I keep hearing this will be paid for by the users and there will be no expense to the town. If the town floats the bond and the water system can't pay its obligation, the town will be liable for that debt. With what few customers will be paying the bill, you can bet the town will pick up the slack.
I am told they have 200 confirmed customers, but when I ask where the list of names was I got no direct answer. I suggest that all these customers and supporters form an investment company or an association and float their bond and build the water system. They wouldn't lose any money because the way it is presented to the voters they are going to pay the entire bill anyway. If it does come to another vote save your money and vote no.
