I have been fortunate in getting acquainted and working with so many bright and talented people of Moretown, as well as surrounding areas. For the past two years, as I have had major health challenges, nearly everyone has been supportive and helpful, those basic human qualities which most of us were raised to believe in and act upon when our neighbors need us most.
Special thanks to Jamie Wimble and Amy Deutl, both of whom rallied to keep business going and are credits to the town. Even the tiny group of malcontents who united to create division and adversity has been tolerated. Hopefully, the two people elected to succeed me will be treated equitably, decently and with the good of the town in mind.
Again, thank you for the privilege of joining prior clerks and treasurers in a unique and timeless society.
