Let's have our Saturday farmers' market have parking outside of town (like at Waitsfield Telecom) and have that horse-drawn bus system bring the folks into town. This would bring more visiting shoppers to The Valley because we have less cars in town. Slow it down -- creates more fun!
I think we, as the state of Vermont, should have our own hybrid cars. Good ground clearance, four-wheeled, low geared, top speed 35 mph, small like the old VW Bugs. We, as the state of Vermont, can import the parts and have Vermonters build and maintain them. If we don't have a problem with road taxes, why not include a Vermont local hybrid hopper car for all. We have got to think outside the box now before we're run over.
