I have supported Rootswork and I have supported the Faillaces. I have supported Bruce Fowler. I am not intimate friends with anyone here. They do not invite me to their houses for dinner or vice versa so I feel as qualified as the next person to have an objective opinion if such a thing exists.
Failures of communication and miss-steps have occurred on both sides. However, the action to terminate a business that has been going for eight years and which is considered by most people to be a terrific asset to the community, seems like using a sledgehammer to eliminate an ant.
I've been to support meetings, read letters and opinions, and I'm familiar with the original intentions of Rootswork. What am I missing here?
I feel strongly that Rootswork, the Faillaces and Mr. Fowler would benefit greatly from getting together with a mediator to work this out. Any other action such as a termination of the Faillaces lease with no recourse would appear to be so onerous that it could damage Rootswork's credibility and reputation for years to come.
One of the most treasured assets of a small community is the ability to work things out. I am hopeful that all parties will agree to try to work this out with the help of a facilitator.
