Last week Mr. Bennett delivered meals for The Galley Senior Meals Program
in Barre. Next week he will be joining Senator Phil Scott and other
volunteers to deliver meals in Middlesex. They will be introducing the new
Middlesex Meals on Wheels program, supported by the Middlesex Methodist
Church.
Central Vermont Council on Aging contracts with local organizations to
provide hot, nutritious meals to elders who are frail and homebound. We
all expect Meals on Wheels to be there when we need them. But Meals on
Wheels and other home delivered meals programs are not possible without
the support of these community organizations, dedicated volunteers, and
local support.
As a part of their Community Share Program, Mark Bennett Nissan will
generously donate $50 per vehicle sold in March to Central Vermont
Council on Aging to support the home delivered meals programs for elders
here in our communities.
