The penguin went on a "bender" and flew across Route 100 and got lost in the woods and could not find his way home. Lucky for us (and him) our neighbors spotted him and brought him home to us. He has since been reunited with his friends "Frosty" and two helpful reindeer, who promise to keep their friend on "the straight and narrow" from now on.
Many thanks to all who expressed their concerns about Mr. Penguin's whereabouts during his absence. Also many thanks to those that did not have the penguin in their possession, but collected the ransom money anyway ($1.75 in loose change). Keep the $1.75, it was worth the entertainment.
