It takes thoughtful adults to make the opportunity known to students K through 12 that they could submit their drawing, writing or video. The winning poster design is printed in full color and distributed statewide to promote participation in Green Up Day.
The top winners also receive $200 in each of the three contests. Other winners are chosen for the best in their grade category statewide (K-12, 5-8, 9-12). Each of these winners receives $75. Winners are chosen by grade category in each county as well.
Write Up for Green Up, an essay contest, is new this year. Students are invited to write their thoughts about Green Up in the form of a poem or an essay of up to 400 words.
All entries should be submitted to: Green Up Vermont, P.O. Box 1191, Montpelier, VT 05601-1191, or delivered to 1416 Baldwin Street in Montpelier by 4:30 p.m., January 31, 2007.
