To The Editor:
For anyone who is not aware Lucy is (hopefully not was) the snow reporter for Sugarbush. Let me explain: Saturday morning, March 1, she recorded a short passionate message on the Snow Phone hoping everyone is using their voice and standing up for what they know our community is and should be standing for. She goes on to say our 'special' guest does not reflect the values and the magic of this place coming to ski on national forest land which the current administration is trying to dismantle among other things. Before it was taken down there was a much longer incredibly well-written message on the webpage. I truly hope The Valley Reporter has received the full version and will print it. Also, hope it will be in Seven Days, VT Digger, The Boston Globe, The New York Times – you get my point. It truly was that well written. Lucy, I think you should go into politics! You have my vote! Or just consider being a speech writer.
I love Vermont. This is just one example of why. Everyone, stand up and shout truth for justice!
Sugarbush, I fully understand your having to take down what she wrote but please give her two days paid leave to 'think about what she did' and give her a chance to write the next piece to a larger audience.
