To The Editor:
As out of staters who own and visit property in Warren, we are delighted with the feature in the January 23, 2025, Valley Reporter about the owners of the iconic All Things Bright and Beautiful. The McTigue sisters were the first people my wife, a longtime visitor, insisted I meet on my inaugural trip. They are among whom we would call The Most Amazing People We Ever Met — and we've been many places. Whenever folks we know plan to visit that's the first stop we urge them to make.
How the two of them, with their respective busy lives, manage to know where everything is that tourists should know — and where all the bodies are buried — is a miracle. On every return we go first to catch up on all that needs to be known in our absence.
Somehow, they are the face of the Mad River Valley to us, and their hope, confidence, resilience, and belief in people and the world is what is quintessential to being "American" in these times.
We enjoy all that The Valley Reporter contains to keep us abreast of goings-on between trips, and Bonnie and Gaelic make it all personal when we return to their presence. Beginning years ago, we are proud collectors of Gaelic's creative artworks and many other things with which to gift and delight friends and their families.
