To The Editor:
MLK weekend is upon us. A meaningful way to remember Dr. King is to engage in community service. There are many ways to be of service in The Valley. For one, the Mad River Valley Community Pantry is in need of volunteers to shop, to receive and organize donated food items, to greet and help our shoppers during open hours and more. There are opportunities to help every day but Sunday. You can work a few hours a week, once a month, as a substitute. For information on volunteering or to donate, please see mrv-ic.org.
Other ways to help our community; volunteering at the Mad River Valley Ambulance Service, volunteer fire departments, libraries, art gallery, Welcome Center and more. Get involved. You'll like it!
