To The Editor:
Kate Hosford was a talented wordsmith from an early age (Valley Reporter, November 24, 2021). She was reported to have said of something she ate that it was “interesting but not yummy.” It was one of those perfectly distilled phrases that is still being widely quoted many years later to describe food, situations and even people. She was obviously destined to be a writer.
