To The Editor:
We would like to give a huge shout out to our community partners Suze and Skipper at SugarFish VT and Claudia Becker and her team at the Big Picture Theater and Café for graciously offering us their awesome space for our VT Everyone Eats program. Because of their generosity, we have been able to share over 300 meals every week throughout the fall and beginning of winter, to more than 140 families in The Valley who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The joy that comes from shared food, even in physically-distanced circumstances, is near universal and a source of strength for many.
If you haven’t tried a VT Everyone Eats meal from our friends at Open Hearth Pizza, it’s not too late. The program is still going strong, and you can find us every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Big Picture Theater and Café. The meals are made fresh with locally-sourced ingredients and frozen for convenient reheating on a busy, cold winter night! These delicious meals are available to anyone who has been impacted – in any way – by the ongoing pandemic situation and help keep our local economy strong.
