The Mad River Valley Senior Citizens want to thank all those that made the Meals On Wheels Thanksgiving feast a wonderful success. The drivers, Ned Kelley, John Donaldson and Myndy Woodruff, made sure that all the seniors received their hot meal of turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, stuffing, gravy, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce and homemade pumpkin and apple pies. Thanks to our chef Claudia Watts who worked tirelessly cooking and preparing and our preparation volunteers Vicky Kingsbury and Linda Hendrickson for lending a helping hand to cut, chop, stir, seal and scoop. Thank you to our board members for bagging all food together and making sure each senior received what they asked for and, also, delivering to all the residents of Evergreen. We appreciate all the donations of food so that we could have a Thanksgiving feast – the turkeys from the Interfaith Council, a turkey from Lucy Obrien, the apple pies from Liz Doliard and the pumpkin pies from Lorraine Keener. We are thankful to live in such a giving and caring community. Thank you to all for supporting Meals On Wheels.
