To The Editor:
Regarding the recent debate, here’s a rhetorical question. Suppose you were going to discuss a really important issue (I mean really important) with someone and that person constantly interrupted you, spoke over you, denigrated you, attempted to domineer you, avoided your questions, insulted members of your family, said things that weren’t true and frequently drifted off into areas that were not germane to the topic, would you put up with that? Or would you just say, “Oh, that’s part of his charm?”
If you are turned off by that kind of behavior, you can turn off the TV the next time it happens and ratings will plummet.
