In a recent copy of The Valley Reporter you published poems written by Ms. McCarthy’s students. One written by Colby Kathan was exceptional!
First, my sympathy at the loss of his pet. Second, congratulations on his poem. As everyone loses a pet they express their grief. Colby captured the love, compassion and understanding from the pet’s standpoint. A deeply moving and wonderful poem.
