To The Editor:
I support Brian Shupe for the Waitsfield Select Board and urge you to join me. Brian is smart, forward thinking and is likely the best qualified of the candidates who are running.
He has extensive experience in all aspects of town government, is a founding board member of Friends of the Mad River and Mad River Valley Television, a former executive director of the Mad River Valley Planning District and is currently well regarded as the executive director of the Vermont Natural Resources Council.
We need new leadership on our select board that can work toward the future. Brian’s intelligence, integrity and dedication to our community will provide that leadership.
Brian, like me, shares the sense that Waitsfield is a distinct town, but that it – like Warren and Fayston – is part of a larger shared community defined by two mountain ranges, a watershed and a river.
