To The Editor:
This letter is written about the Free Wheelin’ Program that was started in June of this year to take Valley seniors and others, free of charge, to senior lunches on Tuesdays and Thursdays, to appointments, hospital visits, shopping, etc.
I’m a senior citizen who lives in Moretown and I don’t drive. This program has been a godsend to me. I depend on my husband to take me places I need to go and now I have another option, which is good in case my husband can’t take me.
It gives him freedom to do other things or just stay home and relax, which is good.
I have used it for appointments in Waterbury and Montpelier, and while I’m out it gives me a chance to do other errands.
The driver, Mike, is a nice, friendly man. He’s courteous and on time. I can’t say enough good things about this service. It runs Mondays through Fridays. So, if you haven’t used Free Wheelin’, give it a try. You’ll be glad you did.
For more information, call Free Wheelin’ at 249-3427.
