To The Editor:
In order to move forward …
We must be respectful, honest, open-minded and grateful to all the people in our seven-town community who have been and are working hard to provide children with the best possible schools.
With that said, can we please stop shaming fellow board members and others in the community for differences of opinion? I was present at the board meeting on March 28 and witnessed Gabe Gilman being persecuted. It was disturbing to see that type of conduct happening in a public forum. Let’s be honest, there are people satisfied with the status of our schools and more than a “tiny group” who are not.
We should respectfully be able to agree to disagree and appreciate that different opinions and approaches enable us to view things from various perspectives.
