To The Editor:

I support Sue Minter because of her demonstrated managerial capacity to drive state government to get the job done. To me, the most important skill a governor needs is a proven ability to manage, direct, guide and cajole the state bureaucracy to make it exceed our expectations. This is what Sue has done for the last six years. She’s run VTrans, the second largest state agency, and done it remarkably well. She has shaped it into a more innovative, creative, productive and responsive institution, while getting high marks for leadership both inside and outside the agency before, during and after Irene.

Policy directions are very important and Sue has laid out a comprehensive vision of affordable health care, jobs growth, revitalizing the shuttered downtowns, funding our education needs and creating opportunities so our children can stay, work and raise families.

Sue Minter has demonstrated that she is a strong, fiscally responsible and visionary leader of state government.
