To The Editor:
The Valley Reporter article about the Sugarbush Access Road path scoping study on July 28 stated that the study was funded by the Vermont Department of Transportation (VTrans). We thought it was important to provide a bit more information regarding the funding of the scoping study. A $25,000 grant application was submitted by the Mad River Path Association (MRPA) on behalf of the town of Warren. VTrans approved and granted the full amount requested. Special thanks to the town for its foresight in helping to move this project forward. Special thanks, also, to Sugarbush Resort which made a donation toward the 10 percent local match required by the grant.
