To The Editor:

This letter is directed to the Waitsfield Select Board.

Dear Select Board,

We have just read tonight's agenda and were particularly distraught over the plans for the pocket park. The proposed amphitheater notion does not fit with the character of our small town that we true Vermonters cherish. We totally support Myndy and Katie's view. We also question if it would pass a legal DRB review. There should be no structures built on the river. Also, the seeming trend to jump on these grants only ends up costing us huge amounts of money with unnecessary engineering, overruns and ridiculous demands. (The pending sidewalk fiasco is another prime example and one that is totally outrageous.) Common sense seems to have been lost within our town. Please stop with these urban designs!
