This letter is addressed to the Mad River Valley community.
To the Mad River Valley Community,
We would like to apologize for our recent behavior that has caused damage to Sugarbush Golf Course and the community as a whole. On several occasions we were wrongly on golf course property late at night, thinking we were only having fun. Our irresponsible and careless actions resulted in damages not only to golf course property, but also greatly inconvenienced course employees and members.
We deeply regret our conduct and have agreed to pay for the damages, though our actions could have led to criminal prosecution had Sugarbush pressed charges. We also will personally apologize to the members of Sugarbush golf staff that work tirelessly to maintain a beautiful course they take great pride in and who have been hurt by our behavior. We are grateful for the opportunity to atone for our mistakes through apology and restitution, though we have been warned that future incidents will undoubtedly result in harsher consequences.
We sincerely hope that this letter will give others a chance to learn from our wrongdoings. We made a huge mistake but learned an invaluable lesson; we all need to respect the property of others. We are deeply sorry for our mistakes and will continue to work toward rebuilding our relationship with this community.
