Mother Nature conspired to challenge the competitors with very challenging conditions. The competition was the first of three events in the Mad River Glen Triple Crown Competition Series. The Unconventional Terrain competition is a test of the skier's ability to conquer Mad River's legendary expert terrain, considered the most challenging ski terrain in New England. Judging for the event is based on smoothness, creativity, turn quality, and difficulty of line.
