Wasn’t there another vote that happened at Town Meeting for a town hall? Wasn’t there a vote for new select board members, too? What about those votes? Why not support those votes? Does our town really care about what the people want? Seriously? Our town does many things so wonderfully, for which I’m eternally grateful. Our report card, however, is not a 4.0 grade point average.

I’m looking forward to the following classes this year.

101: How to be a friend of Business.

267: Business owners: They are not the spawn of Satan.

103: Voters: Yes, their votes do mean something.

233: Voters: The people we work for and represent.

276: Voters: Votes trump surveys.

324: Voters: If votes don’t match your survey, the survey is wrong. How to do a proper survey.

106: Money: It’s never free, someone has to pay for it.

257: Budgeting: Yes, we all have to understand how to make ends meet.

1776: Property Rights: We are not vassals to the government (replaces former class 1692: Vassals: We are all subject to the king, know thy place).

376: Inside deals: Just say no to nepotism. America is not your kingdom.

I hear these classes are picking up in popularity, so I’m registering early.
